That is a very 'broad' question, maybe better if you are a bit more specific!
These may be usefulyellowcard.mhra.gov.uk/iDAP/

1st one is all of the 'reported' side effects of all meds.
The 2nd one has all known side effects of all meds, this includes a copies of the leaflet that accompanies all meds in the UK.
Hi Westy! I guess you are on bisoprolol but not sure what else. After a cardiac arrest in Dec, and triple bypass in Jan, I am on bisoprolol 3.75mg, ramipril 5mg, atorvastatin 80mg and low dose aspirin 75mg. My bisoprolol dose has actually been reduced - I had been increased slowly (in 1.25mg increments) to 5mg per day but i was feeling dizzy and light headed on that dosage so agreed with my GP to drop the dose to 3.75mg.
As I understand it the bisoprolol is to reduce the heart rate (on 3.75mg my pulse is 55-60 bpm) while the ramipril lowers blood pressure, and the statin is obvs for lowering cholesterol.
My GP had increased the dosages of bisoprolol and ramipril slowly, alternating between an increase of 1.25 mg in the one then the other, and doing blood tests every two weeks or so to check liver function following both increases.
Re the atorvastatin, my hba1c levels have increased since I have been on it to borderline diabetic, but my cardiologist has basically said use diet to lower those as it’s more important to have the cholesterol low given my heart events (total cholesterol now about 3 and ldl about 1.2). So thats what Im doing for now.
I do think the blood tests at the start of starting/ increasing the medication are useful to check how everything is going.
I hope helpful, and best of luck!
