1mm of St depression and twi (t wave inversion) seen in exercise tolerance test?
Hi there. Everyone is different and as a group we aren't cardiologists and so can't know or diagnose your condition.
All I can say is about my own condition is that when I had my HA in February there was a note in the discharge papers about t wave inversion and subtle st depression (less than 1mm) and my angiogram confirmed that my LAD artery was partially blocked although they didn't fix it at the time, they were concentrating on stenting my left circumflex artery.
Afterwards I did some research in peer reviewed medical journals that said t wave inversion was a indicator of LAD narrowing.
My LAD was then subsequently stented in April and I passed a maximal exercise stress test earlier this month with no issues on the ecg
However whatever the problem is, it's good they found something on the exercise test because they can now investigate it and if necessary fix it. I wish I had been given an exercise test before my HA rather than afterwards!
Oh 😱😱😱😱😱this news has frightened me maybe I have blocked artery or something... Wow.. Terrified now 😭
So what's best test o find out if I do have a blocked artery? And I'm sure plant based diet can reverse these blockages..
I didn't mean or want to scare you. If there is something that needs to be done in terms of more tests it's good to find out. Please follow up on your stress test.
I am fine now after my mild HA, I can exercise at peak heart rate ( up to about 165bpm) with no issues and drugs have reduced my cholesterol dramatically to prevent a recurrence.
There is no evidence that a plant based diet can reverse blockages.
Your report will be seen by a Cardiologist and they will discuss with you the next steps forward.
When my husband had a tread mill test with ECG changes he was admitted to hospital straight way.
He had an angiogram and a stent fitted.
If the staff were worried about your results they would have discussed your results with a Cardiologist there and then.
I never completed my threadmill test as I had T wave inversions even before the test started.
I was admitted too.
I regularly have ST depressions and T wave inversions on my ECGs without blocked coronary arteries, as I live with vasospastic angina.
National Institute of Clinical Excellence NICE, recommends using CT angiogram to assess for obstructive coronary artery disease.
Did you have any symptoms such as chest pain or breathlessness during the test?
Rather than consulting Dr Google's consultanting room which is usually inaccurate and scary, perhaps give the BHF helpline line a call?
You can then speak to one of the Cardiac nurses.

I had breathlessness but no chest pain but couldn't complete the test as I was breathless, thi g is i also had 4months prior to test so that didn't help.. Many thanks to you for your feed back how old are you and husband btw?
Our tests were carried out 10 years ago, when we were in our 40's.
I noticed you have had Covid which can effect your heart and lungs.
Do you have long Covid?
It can feel bewildering when you first become a heart patient.
I suggest you keep a diary of your symptoms and discuss this with the Cardiologist at your follow up appointment.
