Update ! Infection in bypass wound

My surgeon decided to drain the infection site yesterday . A small incision at base of wound with local anaesthetic and a bit of squeezing and prodding ( I didn’t look )

He applied a gauze inside and a dressing on top . I stayed in last night and he had a look at it this morning and I can go home this afternoon. District nurses will call in on Tuesday and check it and change dressing.

Hopefully that is it now and I can get back to my road to recovery.

Thanks for all your messages and best wishes xx

I knew they would sort it out ad glad they have :-)

I am sure you will soon be back on that road to recovery and there will be no stopping you when you are :-) x

So, no OHS needed then.Hopefully this inconvenience has been nipped in the bud and you can carry on with recovery and life👍
