I have been put on by Cardiology at Stoke Bisoprolol 5mg twice per day Plus Degoxin 0.187mg per day and Entresto 24/26 twice per day. I also take 10mg of Zolpidem around 2am in the night as I always wake up in middle of the night due to sleep disturbance of my heart medications. The Zolpidem works brilliant for me and get me back to sleep within half an hour. But I get dizzy spells during the day and have very little energy to do much. Does anyone take similar amounts of heart medication and Zolpidem sleep aid and have the same problems ?? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you

Medication for af and heart failure
Stopped taking Digoxin not so long back, increased the Bisoprolol to cover.
Can't take Entresto, it causes me a noticable cough that does my throat no good at all.
I'm taking Aspirin and Rivaroxiban for blood thinning courtsey of post op AF.
I'm also taking Eplerenone - can't remember what for! Mrs B will know if I ask!
I use Zopiclone to help sleep, and take it just as I go to bed.
I can easily fatigued during the day, and enjoy some dizzy spells as well.
We think/ hope that the dizzy spells increase or occur most likely when I am feeling fatigued.
When feeling fatigued it is easier to shut my brain down so I just sit and watch paint dry whilst also closing my eyes to remove any visual information for my brain to process.
Not sure our underlying conditions are the same, but it seems we share similar symptoms. Mine have required me to surrender my Driving Licence - hope yours are more manageable.
Still got my licence as do not drive far and usually after mid day. I just drive very carefully now as would miss the independence my car gives me. If I feel dizzy or rough I just go and lie on my bed for a while.
I have found Zolpidem better than Zopiclone as it has a shorter half life so does not affect me so much next day 😊😊
Sadly, i really need more than i can get to help me sleep - but i live with what I’m allowed.Glad it works for you.
