Implantable loop recorder travel insurance

I have been turned down for travel insurance by SAGA as I have a loop recorder fitted and this means I am ‘still awaiting diagnosis for an unknown ailment’. Has anybody out there with a loop recorder managed to get travel insurance and if so from where? I was looking for multi trip insurance for next year ( mr hopeful)

For me Saga are not a goto company. High premiums but not feature rich policies.

My recommendations are StaySure and AllClear. The premiums may be highish and cover unobtainable for the US and Caribbean.

I’d agree with Michael regarding saga, and that allclear and staysure are much better. My only thought is that you may still have difficulty for the reasons saga turned you down: you have no diagnosis. It therefore becomes difficult to assess what level of risk there is of you needing to claim, and what the potential costs of that claim might be if you were taken ill whilst abroad. Are you booking trips now for next year, or are you going to wait to book them? If you’re going to wait to book them, I’d be inclined to wait to look gor insurance too - in 6 months, you never know, you could potentially have a diagnosis.

Hi I am the opposite for saga insurance, I am on the hunt for insurance for later in the year and hardly any company is interested in giving me cover, saga is one of the only ones that will, I have had a transplant, no one has given me annual insurance since heart failure diagnosis, if you can I would wait until I got a diagnosis all the companies are much better with that, I did get insurance with cancellation when I was on the waiting list, stay sure I think, very expensive and the irony was due to covid I never even went on the holiday char
