Just after a handhold..after appointment with cardiologist

Hi,

I had covid late last year and since then I’ve had an abnormal ecg. Other tests were normal (chest X-ray, bloods and echo scan), however since speaking to cardiologist he thinks I have a structural abnormality with my heart and I’m now waiting for an mri scan. I’m so anxious and scared, I’m only 39 with young children, who will also have to have tests when/if they find out what it is. Another possibility mentioned was myocarditis.

I thought because my echo scan was normal I would be discharged.

Hi there, heart issues are always a worry, but rest assured that they are on to it. You will be in safe hands and better to know if there is an issue as you can then get the treatment you need.

All best wishes to you and take care x
