Hi does anyone know on here if it’s normal for an ecg to have what looks like barbed wire through it? Hope that makes sense. Thank you

Hi Nanaeli Hope you are well
Looking at your ecg I don’t claim to understand them
But have had some the same
I have had high blood pressure for a number of years but all was well on medication
All of a sudden my blood pressure got very high
I went to see my cardiologist as I have Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
Which is an inherited heart condition caused by a gene
The cardiologist at the royal Brompton
Give me beta blockers which gave reduced my eptopic heart beats
And now and again I have the odd one like yours
As we are still trying to sort them out
So I think what you may be seeing are extra heart beats but all my conversations have been over the telephone so I haven’t really asked the question
But as my ecg now looks normal with no barb wire😂I think that’s what it is
I have also been fitted with a defibrillator but I’m sure that’s not required for you as I had 24.900 extra heart beats a day
But that is due to my Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
But you may need your medication looked at
Go to your Gp and ask to see a cardiologist to get an answer from him
Ive just joined slimming world again
It so hard to get motivated
But I’ve only had my defibrillator 10weeks so want to get fit and stay healthy
Think positive you can do it
Stay safe take care
I’ve just turned 65 although I’ve always been fit
You can do this 👍🏻
I thinks you have extra beat now and then. Difficult to tell the rate without a longer strip. There is what looks like inverted T after QRS wave which indicate you may have ischaemic heart disease. What do medics think about it?
