Hi,usually post answers to questions I get about Various thing's from medication to severe (chronic)or acute heart failure cardio-myopathy etc.I get box with all my tablets in and am reminded to take them by family members as I never have had the best memory. My question is that I have had pains in both lower sides of my back some times just on right side or both, never just on left!,I thought it was my kidneys but also get them checked regularly so when I told the doctor's about it they said the last time they took blood they couldn't see anything also i thought it may have been my water tablets as anyone who takes them know they have to watch how much ml they drink daily but still have to go all the time.In the past my furosemide dose was reduced and then increased again shortly after.Anyway after couple of checks was told I had a bladder infection so have been given antibiotics which have helped slightly won't know until finished course, does anyone know what can cause this or been through anything similar? please let me know, thank's.

I don't know for sure but based on me taking furosimide I get a horrible pain in my lower right side above the pelvis area. I stopped taking them and the pain went away for about 6 months. I just took a couple 40 ml tablets last two days and the pain is back just like last time. So I'm not taking anymore until I talk to my provider.

Hi Marcus,!sounds so familiar in everything you are saying, only I had my water tablets dose reduced because of the pain similar to what you said one or both kidney pains sometimes so painful if I did not get the toilet fast enough I thought one of my kidneys was going to explode. But shortly after started retaining fluid and was put up again so good luck and keep me informed please on how you get on!Brian.
