My last pace wire stuck but fortunately a surgeon came long later (the first ones were removed by a nurse) and removed it although it was a bit of an eye watering struggle.
There should be no allergy type reactions from the wire but as it threads through a number of different areas you need to ask your GP.
Hi, thanks for the reply saw my GP yesterday who said he could t feel anything! Will have to contact my surgeon I think.
I was the exact same, the surgeon removed the last one, with a big tug, ouch!
Hi, I have one still in which I think is causing the issue!!
Hi can I ask why it was left in, I don't really know much about them char
It was tugging when they tried to remove it so they left it in! That was early January.
Not so good, I wasn't sure if they were left in for a reason or maybe because it was just easier to leave them In, they were never really properly explained to me, I had an icd and thought they just pulled it out with the old heart, I was definitely wrong about that, apparently its quite difficult to remove, it's funny the things they don't tell you about char
🤣That is probably very true and I am not one for asking questions, In case I don't like the answer! 🙄
Hi there. I had a wire left in after my 3rd surgery as they just couldn’t get it out. It’s never caused me any problems and they said they would just leave it, unless I had any problems with it which you obviously are. At the time, I asked what the solution was if it did cause any problems and they told me it would involve a small incision to remove it.
