I have Syncope. I have SVT and heart block plus. Mitral valve regurgitation. It’s a very frightening feeling, my blood pressure seems to drop very low and I get lightheaded too. Syncope happens ar random to me but it frightens me,I had one recently whilst in a restaurant with my daughter. I,m awaiting ablation

Have you not been offered a pacemaker ? If you have heart block and syncope that is the usual treatment.

I,m hoping that when I get my ablation they will sort it. The coronavirus has halted treatment out here in London, lots of people waiting for operations. I,ve never passed out but it gets pretty dark and weird sometimes when it happens.

Ah so you get pre syncope not actual syncope where you blackout. I have 2nd degree block and got a pacemaker to stop the pre syncope pauses, I was offered an ablation for Afib (not the heart block) but turned it down as success rates are not high enough for my liking. Hopefully you don't have to wait to long, we're pretty lucky here in South West where the hospitals are running as normal.

I was diagnosed with heart block back early 2019, I definitely feel it has got worse. I must admit I am worried about the success of the ablation, every time I get a SVT attack I think I must get it done, my last attack was 3 weeks ago and it seems to be getting very stubborn. I was 168 beats a minute for 5 hours and had the dreaded adenosine which never works anyway, 2 hours later after beta blockers were put in my drip it went down.
