Hello and welcome to the forum!
Modern ultrasound equipment is highly complex equipment with many settings. The ultrasound (frequency far higher than human hearing) has various characteristics such as:
Wavelength
Frequency
Velocity
Intensity
Add to this other values such as power, penetration, absorption and mode, and the 35 you saw could be anything! Age maybe? 🤣 So stop worrying.
If your EF was that low I would have expected your medical team to contact you. If a few weeks have passed why not give them a call?
There is a simple truth to having an Echo Cardiogram, Angiogram or T.O.E. - if the results are scary, you will not be going home!
If they let you go home then you are in a better state of health than any number will be worth.
My first Echocardiogram produced a variety of readings that scared the Nurse Practioner carrying out the test. She consuklted wuith the Cardiologist who aske dsome simple questions:
Is he breathing?
Can he walk?
Can he talk?
Is he struggling with movement etc?
Yes, then he can't be in too bad a state, let him go home and we'll bring him back for another test 😆 It made me take a step back at the time, but his observations were accurate.
Be aware that you have may have a condition, but like Asthma or AF, it could be a condition that you can live with day in and day out with a bit of monitoring or medication.
True i can believe thatIm glad you were fit enough to go home
I know theres much more considered behind the scenes the patient sees
I had heart murmur and persistent t wave inversion
Lots more has been going on with palpitations and pain, blood pressure fluctuations. Anxiety about results isnt helping but yes i think will be same about going home and living with it.
Wish there was someone to help with the side effects.
How do you cope? Hope you're ok.
Best healthy wishes 🤗
Thank you, a lost has happend since that day, mainly OHS and post operative complications that i'm only now beginning to understand.
Ooh that sounds feasible yes, thank you. Im starting to feel more and more relaxed with these replies. Good to hear from others who have had the same examination. Ive had them before but couldn't remember. 🤗
