Feeling of complete exhaustion.

Had a HA May 2020, and had stent fitted. This Feb I had a very bad angina attack and another stent fitted. Obviously various medicines prescribed. My question is I can feel fine for days perhaps even weeks then I get a series of days that if I do anything I feel so tired I could lie down wherever I am and sleep, I get very short tempered and need to sleep there and then it’s a very uneasy feeling, makes planning anything difficult. Has anyone else felt this kind of exhaustion and how did they overcome it?

I know that feeling of sudden exhaustion well. It's just like someone flicks a switch and immediately it starts. I would be out walking and suddenly it would strike and I'd feel it was a struggle to take another step. I have never had a heart attack, but do have atrial fibrillation.

It was discovered that I had an under-active thyroid and I'm wondering whether you've had yours checked. Taking medication for that has stopped that overwhelming feeling of tiredness for me.

Interestingly my sister of 58 was diagnosed with an under-active thyroid recently being a couple of years younger it may run in the family will ask to get blood checks. Thank you.

It does sound like something else other than heart. My experience is that doctors and consultants in particular often focus on one thing and forget to look for other issues. We are allowed to have more than one thing wrong with us at a time.
