Hi all.

Had a Triple CABG & Mitral Valve Repair 2019. Still have slight leak in valve. Last September getting more breathless. GP organised a (NT-proBNP) blood test. Result came back as 386 pg/ml so referred to Cardiologist. Appointment 4th January cancelled due to Covid. Subsequently collapsed 11th March - 3 days in hospital discharged with Heart Failure diagnosis. Today had results of latest (NT-proBNP)

test. Now 412 pg/ml.

In a strange way I’ve felt more at ease since the confirmation of the diagnosis from hospitalisation as you can begin to think you’re imagining things are deteriorating.

Does anyone have any thoughts about the increase from 386 to 412 in a relatively short space of time?

I’m now waiting for a follow up appointment with the Cardiologist so I’m just taking things easy.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post. I get a lot of comfort from being part of this brilliant group.

Cheers

David
