Just wondered if anyone can recommend a good value travel insurance for post HA patients? Ours needs renewing and hopefully holidays will go ahead this year, fingers crossed! Thank you

All I can say is be prepared for a shock. I use staysure £420 not including USA.
Good luck

£420? God, that's depressing. I've not looked into getting insurance since my heart bypass op, costs in that sort of price range are going to hammer my holiday budget.

If it’s more than two years since your surgery it will be less. Also depending on medication you are taking
That includes my wife who has no medical issues
Hi there. After about 3 months normal travel insurers will cover you. I had travel insurance with my bank. I phoned up not long after my HA and they would cover me for everything but my heart but told me to ring back in a couple of months. I did and as I was ok a and no other issues they covered me. So my advice is wait a bit before you look for cover.
I’ve used both Staysure and AllClear travel. I used AllClear for a couple of trips to St Lucia and Staysure for Europe. My insurer that we have used for 30 years declined to cover me!
Mine cost £420 because I was awaiting a echocardiogram for Afib..... painful and only able to use it for one trip before COVID
