High blood pressure after stopping Ticagrelor

Since coming off Ticagrelor, my blood pressure has gone from 120/75 up to 150/80. This was from readings taken yesterday evening and early this morning.

I've been on zapain for 2 days and wondering if this has affected my BP.

Has anyone else ever experienced this?

Ticagrelor is an anti-platelet therapy normally given for one year after stents so I don't think coming off it should have changed your BP much if at all. Did you come off it gradually or just stop?

Zapain looks like a brand of co-codamol for moderate to severe pain. Pain can increase blood pressure significantly so I wonder if the underlying pain that's been treated is the reason for your high systolic BP (diastolic looks ok)

Anyway, please talk to your GP or specialist if you are worried at all.

As per the doctors instructions, I just stopped,. I did read somewhere that zapain can increase BP. I've stopped taking it so will monitor for a couple of days before going to GP. Thanks
