Migraines.
I used to have quite a lot of migraines before my triple bypass (the flashing light type) for years . I notice they have really decreased since my bypass. I wonder if any other migraine sufferer has had the same relief

Hi Polly,
I am a migraine sufferer with aura. There is evidence to show they are linked, I have a arterial septal defect that I am due to have closed within the next few weeks. When I met the specialist she did say they could improve but they could get worse.
What she did say was if they are worse I would have to go back onto Clopidigrel as this is what they use to stop the severity.
That’s when I noticed, when I was on Clopidigrel before I didn’t have hardly any migraine and if I did they were nowhere near as bad.
I do t know if you are on thinners but that could be why they are better. Not that it matters, anything that makes them better is a good thing.
I have only just realised that I haven’t had a migraine since my bypass 👍
Totally so. I had migraines every ten days, for 60 years. Then I had to start on bloodthinners, in my case Clopidogrel, and migraines are now about four each year. And they continue to be mild, as they were before. Every cloud ???

I hadn’t made the connection until now, but I also haven’t had a migraine ( I used to have occasional ones with aura) since my bypass surgery last summer.
Hi I'm a migraine sufferer. I used to get such bad migraines, oh the bad old days lol.
Since my heart attack I've been on some form of beta blockers which are sometimes used for people with bad migraines. I still get migraines but they are not so severe anymore. So I believe it is the medication 💊 🙃 x
