Additional information to my frightening migraine.

I wrote about my frightening migraine whereby I couldn’t speak a week or two ago. Well the medication I was given for prevention or when one started was mind boggling. I hallucinated for about 3 days . I suppose it could be called “a trip”. Started with minute black spots on the wall to eventually my walls being covered in very bright floral patterns . The patterns never stayed the same colour . I also saw a semi - circular wave coming towards me . The only time anything near this happened to me was just after my bypass when I saw hanging flower baskets around my bed. The woman optician I saw who suffered badly from migraines said she saw people on the same drug !

Hello :-)

I suffered with migraines and would get the aura . flashing lights , patterns which would go on 30 mins to an hour and then the headache would set in even though it felt like someone had hit me over the head rather than a headache as they are so different to normal headaches

It must have been so frightening for you as even though I had them years and regular and was used to them I still would feel anxious

The last 3 years since my heart attacks and Bypasses I am not sure what has happened if it is any of the meds I am on but these migraines seem to have stopped sometimes I feel one is trying to come on but never escalates like it used to even though I am not complaining but often wonder suffering weekly with them sometimes what has changed and all I can think of us all these meds I take

I hope between the Doctor and the opticians you feel reassured as unpleasant as they are it was a migraine

Hope you had a nice Christmas :-) x
