I've had tinnitus over 2 years. Had it checked and the ENT said welcome to the club. I've tried online gimmicks. I don't want to just sit as it kills brain cells. Any suggestions? 💔

Maybe I am misunderstanding, but there is a forum for tinnitus if you search Health Unlocked top right, on this page. Do come back if I’m wrong, Good luck.

Hi Meryl6220,

Sorry to hear you’re suffering, tinnitus can be horrible. Have you checked the leaflets with each of your meds? Some heart meds list hearing disturbances as a side effect. It might take some investigating to find if it is one of those!

I had a strange ’underwater’ effect on my hearing that disappeared the moment I laid my head down! My very experienced cardiologist had never heard of anything like it, but one of the HF nurses had. ENT consultant told me to chew gum & learn to live with it! It stopped when my meds were changed. Sorry, almost all my meds were changed at the same time, so I never did find out which, if any, was causing it.

Best wishes,

Do you take either metformin ir a PPI? If so get your vitamin b12 and folate checked. Tinnitus can be cause by low b12.
