Pacemaker

I had a pacemaker implanted early November. I am not comfortable wearing a bra now as the strap and outer edge of it rubs on the pacemaker site and is uncomfortable. Has anyone else found that and what do they do about it.

I mostly do without a bra but obviously this is not suitable when going out.

I wear Sloggi soft bralettes with no metal bits and wide shoulder straps and M&S strappy cami with bra shelf. Hopefully with a bit more time you shouldn't have a problem, I've had my pm for a year and honestly forget it's there, only time I feel it is if I stretch that arm to far forwards.

Hi Milopalm,

I bought some ‘perfection comfort cushions’ (from Amazon) that were intended to stop bra straps digging in on the top of your shoulder, but I folded over the Velcro strap at the top of the cup where the strap starts & used them to cushion the edge of my CRT-D. They worked well for me, and under a fiver, so worth a try, maybe?

Good luck & hopefully after a while even wearing your normal bras will be easy.

Best wishes,

Hi Milopam I had the same problem and like bantam12 found Sloggi bralettes. I find them really comfortable and resolved the problem for me. I like the wider straps and the material is very soft.
