Vascular EDS

My husband has been diagnosed with vascular EDS, however they’ve only come to that conclusion because he’s got an abnormality in his col3a1 gene. He doesn’t bruise easily or have any of the obvious features other than stretched scars and his mechanical heart valve coming loose. Does anyone else have experience with VEDS?
