Sometimes my BPM and oxygen seem fine, then afterwards it goes down to 79 for oxygen and 45 for BPM I'm really worried. I tried to make an appointment with my GP today but the receptionist instantly said no appointments and sounded like she couldn't wait to put the phone down

Hello. I’d suggest that as your GP hasn’t been able to help that you phone 111 for advice. It could be something or nothing, but it’s best to get proper medical advice.
Best wishes.
Please call NHS111 I am a doctors receptionist if we have no appointment we would ask what the issue is so we could give you information as to where to get help
Probably a stupid comment but are you sure your machine is working correctly ? Whenever I get bizarre readings my first thought is the batteries need changing or the machine needs recalibrating. Just a thought.
Just a thought - presumably you are taking these readings on an oximeter. If so, you need to ensure good contact between your finger and the oximeter. I have found that skin dryness can affect the readings. If you have a blood pressure monitor, use it to check your pulse rate.
Try and keep a diary to record your events so that you can build up some evidence of what is going. After about a fortnight you should be able get enough information to put together in an email to your surgery, which may be enough to get a response. If doesn't work and you don't get a response , do as Maisiemay13 says and ring 111?
