Does anybody know if a stress test is required before an ASD closure?

I have received a appointment letter without it being mentioned at any point. I have had two angiograms, bubble ECG, MRI, & TOE which shows a hole..

Every time I see the hospital stamp on a letter I get so excited that I might have a date to close the thing that gave me a HA, it’s so deflating to see it’s another thing that probably means I can’t eat all morning 👹

It is not necessary but I believe it is often preferred.

Hi, never had one of those, but think it’s good that they are being thorough, the waiting is such a pain, hope you get that date soon 🤞🙏x

Thanks guys,

I emailed my cardiologist about it, it’s not required. He had requested the stress test back in August but the COVID backlog has made the waiting list so long at my hospital I’ve only just got the appointment.
