Howdy all, been a while .... hope all are well as can be. So I’ve started getting palpitations, very random but quit frequent. Been three days now. Thoughts? Anybody else get this? Could be anxiety exacerbating it as it does worry me but may not be? Any advice guidance on experience would be great

Palpitations
I can sympathise entirely, have you checked your pulse manually? Are the palpitations coinciding with skipped beats (ectopics)? I have had them on and off since I had a HA in March, moreso recently after changes in doses of medication, increased Losartan, reduced bisoprolol.
I had a 72 hour monitor put on in the summer and the cardiologist who checked it concluded ectopics, nothing to worry about.
I have since spoken to the Cardiology Pharmacist and my GP about them, and they have advised they are nothing to worry about although they are irritating.
At the moment I am finding it easy to slip into an anxious state, I don’t know if it’s the change in meds or my general state of mind as anxiety is not something I have suffered from. However, there is no doubt that the more you think about the palpitations and the more worked up you get about them, the worse they seem to get! If in doubt, get checked out though.
Hi i just started getting pulpatations back in August its all very random. I cut out tea coffee and have cut down smoking and will quite asap .ive had loads of tests but no answers as yet .all i can say is try to relax keep stress levels as low as poss .try meditation i found this helps a bit
I had palpitations earlier the year...and it was quite worrying at the time. Thankfully heart checked out ok. it seemed to be associated with my blood pressure medication at the time and anxiety that developed during the year. Now I'm on different meds and the anxiety and palpitations have settled. Definitely speak to your doctor and get their advice. Even during lockdown my doctor was so helpful...
Palpitations are so varied, I been having them since February and had test after test and told I have anxiety and panic disorder, my advice go for a run!! If they still happen (on recovery)then just pop to GP if they go I’d say just abit of anxiety, but get on top of it before it consumes you like it has me, hope this helps
Hi, I've had them for three years now, more often than not. I agree with the others, check your blood pressure and pulse to see if these are causing them and if they carry in definitely see your GP about them. I too cut down in tea in take, also cut out alcohol altogether (not made any difference in my case). Also try and note what you are doing when they start, how long they last etc. The more info you have when you go to the docs the better.
