I was diagnosed with heart failure on the 7th January 2019 and since then I have had two appointments with a Heart Failure nurse. The first was in June this year and it was a face to face appointment where she took my pulse and blood pressure and weighed me. She also talked about my treatment and that the medication dosage was incorrect and that my percentage had gone down from 37%. He also went and checked with the cardiologist as couple of times.
The nest appointment was with a different nurse and over the telephone. She did no seem to have any information about my medication or even me. I mentioned I was worried about the results from the last echo cardiogram but she dismissed it with the comment that they were unreliable. She said I would receive a copy of a letter in two weeks time outlining what we talked about and she would see me in 4 months.
Today I received a letter saying due to Covid I would have my next appointment over the telephone in February. Just feels like a tick box exercise to keep some administration person happy.
I am now on mirtazapine due to the nightmares and panic attacks from my ICD/pacemaker operation.
Hi Meenzer! Feel you are not looked after medically very well at all and you are suffering as a result! Has your swelling in your ankles gone down now and is your breathing any better? You really have to keep ringing your GP and request an urgent call back! You really need more medical attention also concerning your heart medication! I am astounded they don't have previous appointments and outcome on their system and also share this with your GP!
READING About your OP, ICD, DAY SURGERY 🤔😱
I AM HORRIFIED!
Not surprised you have nightmares!
Just remember, you are a human being please, and you are not a robot!
Please be persistent to get medical care as you deserve please!
Sorry for my late reply, praying for you Meenzer 🙏❤️
