Does anyone else take this and do they suffer with headaches when they do?

I was taking bisoprolol for my AFIb. It was making my hands and feet extremely cold. Apparently it is a common side effect. The doctor changed my tablets to verapamil. My hands rarely go cold but my feet are and I’ve been getting regular headaches.

Any advice?

If they both work as well as each other for managing the afib, I think it may be a case of picking the lesser evil: which side effects bother you more? I took bisoprolol for 8 years for SVT with very little issue up until I developed symptomatic bradycardia. Was switched to verapamil almost 3 years ago, and again, no real side effects with that, but we’re all different at the end of the day. I’m extremely prone to and suffer daily with headaches due to neuro problems, cranial nerve damage from brain ops, and the family trend of headaches and migraine, but verapamil doesn’t seem to cause any additional problems for me in that regard.

Thanks for your reply. I’ve been getting headaches for a few while and I thought they were caused by omeprazole but they persisted when I stopped taking them so I’m back on the omeprazole. Only thing left is the verapamil

Could it be a withdrawal effect of stopping bisoprolol? I had cardioversion 3 weeks ago and my dose of bisoprolol waa reduced from 15 to 10 mgs. I've had awful headaches since, though they are getting more sporadic now. Just a possibility?

Hi qp3usavk. Hope all is okay after the cardioversion. I would think maybe not due to taking something else that does the same and the headaches happening for a while

No worries!!!! All of us are different and we react differently to the meds we are given. I am doing very well after my cardioversion, thank you and hope my stable new rhythm will continue!!!! Wishing you good health too!
