I have now had 2 Ops to have 4 stents inserted. Treatment I received was brilliant but having pains in shoulder blades. Not constant comes and goes. This website is excellent as I have been a bit bewildered since the HA. I am 65 and was fit, healthy and very active. Despite being advised by cardiac rehab that it takes time I’m afraid I’m not very patient and am having to learn to be. Has anyone else suffered from the shoulder blade pain. They entered the stents via the groin on both occasions with no side effects except slight bruising. The other thing is when did other suffers of a HA and subsequent stent insertion return to work.

Shoulder blade pain after HA and PCI surgery
Hi Badger,
As you will see on here lots of us have pains we never had before after the stenting, some perhaps none but depends on the individual and your body frame I guess. You have had two surgeries so your body is still in trauma and still healing. I had awful achy pains in my shoulders, collar bones and neck for a long time and some pain around my back and shoulders when I first came out of the hospital. Combination of trauma and the medications so a lot of healing and adjustment needed can take a while. I didn't have to return to a job, thank God but don't rush back if you are in a position to stay off until you feel comfortable to get through a day and you will in time get a whole lot better. Check also with your Cardio rehab on those pains. Heather
found the pain in my joints due to statins apparently a side effect
Thanks Steve23, it might be a coincidence but my joint pains in the shoulders coincided by my first prescription of statins. I’ll see if they continue.
atorvastatin is not to bad simvastatin was bad
