Blood Pressure Readings
Hello and welcome to the forum!
My reply below is a direct quote from the NHS website. I trust it is helpful to you.
As a general guide:
high blood pressure is considered to be 140/90mmHg or higher (or 150/90mmHg or higher if you're over the age of 80)
ideal blood pressure is usually considered to be between 90/60mmHg and 120/80mmHg
Blood pressure readings between 120/80mmHg and 140/90mmHg could mean you're at risk of developing high blood pressure if you do not take steps to keep your blood pressure under control.
I can only go off mine which my GP says is fine for my age - 72. (Heart attack and 2 stents) . It's usually between 120/65 and 130/80. Don't ever go off one reading. Take 3 a day after sitting for 5 minutes, at different time of day. Do it for a week then average them out. Keep your record. If you have to see your GP they will be so pleased to get the readings.
