I have just been weighed and I have put on 2.2kg - hopefully all as muscle! 💪 Before that my BP was 115/60 and HR 56 so all looks good. How are you all doing?
Note: for any new members I am in rehab following a below knee amputation to my left leg due to PAD (peripheral arterial disease). I am trying to gain weight as i Iost 15kg but allow 3kg for my leg.

Hi great to here that, I hope your wound is starting to heal and you can get back to physio next week, eating is my big problem at the moment, every time I start to eat I get the most awful taste in my mouth, everything just tastes the same, horrible, whether it's fruit or a home cooked dinner, I am struggling badly with it, I spent a fortune on expensive food when I came out of hospital thinking it was there food that was awful now I know it's me, I said to them at clinic last week they said it will get better over time, but not really helpful just now, I am only 7st 9lbs and really need to eat, I know that, but the taste and nausea make it so difficult, gets me down, when I should be so grateful for the second chance I have been given, char

Yes it is the best set of observations in a while. The doctors here tweaked my BP medication slightly as I had been suffering hypotension before I arrived here.
You are so brave !!! Maybe you should eat what you enjoy and not worry about anything, its early days. Here's to a continuing speedy recovery, also your positive attitude, l admire you.!!! Take care, Sue.
