Hi When at school many years ago I was taught to use full stops commas etc. Now the young feel insulted by such things, I will continue to use these, but as the title says no malice intended.

I love good grammar and good punctuation. However I worked in the legal profession for many years and was told not to use it. You can change the meaning of a sentence just by punctuating it differently. Like all generations they all have their own current language. At the moment it seems to be text speak. Or is that now out of date?
It's probably Twitter that started the trend to drop commas etc.
You only have a limited number of characters to use, so commas and full stops get ditched.
I think for that reason they are now considered to be rude or extreme.
A bit like using capitals in the forum comments is thought to be shouting.
😊
Ah' but please remember and bear in mind, some bad grammar is not a reflection on the individual. There may be a learning difficulty, a disability etc. Could be lots of reasons. Stay safe.
