Medication for HF/Cardiomyopathy

Hi all

I have HF and cardiomyopathy. Had ICD in 2018. Now on Candesartin and Bisopralol. I had very severe vertigo prior to diagnosis. Anyway, since medication I have had numerous falls due to dizzyness, resulting in fractured spine and neck (no spinal cord damage, thankfully but did leave me in a brace for 6 months).

Today I was told to increase my Bisoprolol as my heart was speeding up at night. Did this, this morning. Tonight, again, I fell down the stairs (on 11th stair out of 13) when I was climbing them. Have really hurt a few parts of my body (including spine) as I fell backwards so obviously wondering if I have done more damage.

What I would like to know is, does the bisoralol calm down, should I stop the extra increase.

Any reassurance would be greatly appreciated

Babs xx

One of the side effects to Bisoprolol is dizziness. I cannot tolerate anymore than a quarter of 1.25mg i end up too dizzy with brain fog.I would go back yo your GP. I have Meniere's disease which is a balance disorder. Maybe your ears may need checking also. Take care.x
