6 weeks ago. Had a dual lead pacemaker installed. This morning I went for my first device check..,I had made plans to start driving and also to have my pups back. The lead to the lower chamber is not working. I require another op. I am the 1 in 50 who is ‘unlucky’. I’m gutted.
Just my luck: 6 weeks ago. Had a dual... - British Heart Fou...

Oh no that's not good , hope you get sorted soon
They installed a dual lead pacemaker in me. thinking that, when they did catheter ablations, they might prevent the atria beating - this happened, but they discovered that the atrial lead was out of position.
They said that my pacemaker was not working much, so it was not worth re-positioning the atria lead, as doing so would have a high mortality risk. (The cardio nurse to me later that my pacemaker was working 70% of the time.)
Years later, when they checked the pacemaker, they thought that it had sufficient battery charge to last till the next check - but the battery ran down, and I was very ill for months. When they changed the pacemaker, I asked if they could re-position the Atrial Lead... They said that that would have a high mortality risk, but they inserted an additional atrial lead - which has resulted in me being able to give up my scooter!
