My results help see photo!

Hey guys hope all are well.

So I asked NHS for a copy of my last results in 2018, which arrived today.

I asked for them to be explained but was told that as I have my next check up on 8th September they don’t really want to use them, which I don’t either! Just want to know what some of it means.

I’ve got HCM diagnosed in 2014. Just trying to see what people make of these results from 2018!

Thanks

Well no medic but these results don't look too bad.The hypertrophy is just the hcm but it's asymmetric and the function is good.I have concentric left ventricular hypertrophy due to high blood pressure so I know these things can be scary.Would your GP explain these result to you? Also you can ask at your next appointment and I assume you'll.get some more up to date tests done too.Hope it goes well.

What test is this the results of? MRI scan perhaps. I have had every test available on NHS but never seen any results.

I have a copy of all my tests.

MRIs, echo's, angiograms, holter tests, blood tests and clinic letters.

Just ask your GP or the hospital for copies.

No this was my echo results. Don’t know where you are in world, but you can get results of any test/results done on you by emailing legal services for NHS

Thank you. I will keep that in mind as my results are 9 months old already and probably outdated as my symptoms have changed.

Not even my GP could get any of my test results from Gloucester hospital.

Have you tried contacting the Patient Advice and Liaison Service PALS of your local hospital?

They are usually helpful getting this information too.

'Trivial' is good - very very good. Ok, it would be better if nothing had been discovered but 'trivial' is excellent when something has been discovered.

I won't go into long detail but when my aortic valve scarring was discovered (May 2019) my cardiologist used the word 'trivial' and I honestly floated out of the exam room in a happy fog of joy.

'Trivial' means it's there but not such a huge worry it wants immediate and urgent attention - my trivial scarring is going to be monitored with annual echocardiograms and my cardiologist does think eventually I will need AVR (aortic valve replacement), maybe.

'Trivial' became my favourite word for 2019. My 2020 echo has been pushed back owing to the pandemic but I feel great so I'm sure it's still trivial and will be my 2020 Word of the Year:)
