Weird feeling 3 weeks after getting stents.

Hi! I am a 53 year old male. I am very active and play Table Tennis for couple of hours almost every day. I got a nuclear stress test that showed abnormality. This prompted my cardiologist for me to get a catheterization done. During Catheterization the doctor discovered 99.9% was blocked and the radial more than 80%. 2 stents were lodged. It’s been 3 weeks and I still don’t feel normal. Initially I had constant stomach ache, gas and bloating fir 2 weeks. I went to see a GI doctor and she recommended that I try Pepcid 40 mg twice a day. The stomach ache has almost gone but I get this weird felling in my chest, not sure how to explain. It’s like pain but it feels something sharp is stuck in my chest and I feel weak as well. Medications taken :

Pepcid twice a day

Levothyroxine 25 mcg

Amlodipine 10 mg

Plavix

Aspirin 81 mg

I was taking Omeprazole daily for more than 15 years before switching to Pepcid recently. Mostly so that I could drink beer.

I have quit drinking and occasional smoking after getting stents.

Thanks

I got stents 4 years ago after a heart attack at 2am and blue lights to hospital. Until the I’d never taken any meds. For the first few weeks after I felt awful: half asleep all day, slightly nauseous, light-headed and occasional little stabbing, scratchy pains in my chest. Doc had to keep adjusting my meds until I felt okay with the nausea etc. The little pains are normal and I think are the stents “bedding in” so to speak. I still occasionally have them. There isn’t an exact med or dose that fits everyone but they start you off on the doses you need and then take it from there. Try not to worry but if you don’t feel right, contact the docs again.
