I was diagnosed with HF in December 2019 and since March have not been out or done any excercise. I now get breathless after any excersion. I have been discharged by the heart nurse as my blood pressure etc are ok.
I want to improve so I can maybe look for work but dont really know where to start. I also suffer from pains in my upper arms & shoulders which means I can no longer get my arms above my head but no-one has been able to give me a diagnosis or reason for this, my heart nurse tried changing my medication with no effect after my GP told me I had 2 options, either live with the pain or see if changing meds helps.

I agree with Thatwasunexpected, do a little at a time and don't overdo it. Use the rehab video link they have put on their response to help. You'll be surprised at how quickly you can get back into some sort of shape. It can take a while for them to get meds right.
Hi, I was diagnosed with heart failure in June 2020.I hate exercise and also have a dodgy knee but committed to walking every day.The first one was a very shaky three houses lol.I now try to do three walks a day, not long but varying with inclines and speed. My fitness has improved a lot,so much so that I am going back to work next Monday, mixed feelings there lol.
