Stretching Excercises after chest pain

Hello please see my profile for full history if required.

After Stemi Heart Attack,3 stents and 4 Ischaemic strokes now at the three years after stage.

Four weeks ago I started to get minor chest pains when moving in bed or generally moving around, feels like something pulling on my sternum or breast plate.

GP recomended stretching excercises which seem to make no difference should i try talking to my original cardiac team thathanded me over to the GP?

Thanks John

Hello :-)

I had a triple Bypass over 2 years ago and if I do certain things can still get aches where my sternum is

However reading your Bio you have certainly been through a lot and so sorry you have had all this happen and if you have any concerns I personally would try and talk to cardiac team or the Consultant that cared for you :-)

Let us know how you get on :-) x

Consultant has advised as I have been discharged to GP I should talk to him...back to the start. Is it just me or is aftercare sadly lacking in NHS at the moment?

Noticed that the chest pain worsens with stretching or excercise, after a bit of reading tried the GTN spray and pain goes away so will continue with spray before suggesting possibility of angina to GP.. Strange it should start now after 3 years from original heart attack.

Gp has eventually prescribed me Chemydur 30mg dose initially, it does seem to be working but early days yet.No mention of angina but I am symptomatic.

Also advises if pain continues to use GTN spray as well 2 puffs before calling for ambulance if it doesn't improve.

I think I am reassured so far.

Back to indoor bike now.
