Hi , Sorry. The left ventricle of your heart which pumps most of your blood to the other organs has become weak. they give you a percentage from 10 -65%?.. others might answer that one. Mine is 35% ejection fraction( Pumps oxygenated blood)

Left sided heart failure can cause you to be short of breath/ dizzy/ tired this is due to fluid backing up into your lungs.

Right sided heart failure which is what you haven't got is whereby fluid backs up into your abdomen, legs hands and causes swelling.

Thank you so much brandibell I’ve just been in hospital for 4 days admitted with angina, but been feeling so poorly with headaches, dizzy, nausea. Shortness of breath, my salt & sodium levels where also low.. they told my my heart was beating quicker than it should blood pressure was higher than normal

Upped isosorbide, and a few other meds I am feeling better although today I’ve been pottering around and now I’m feeling really tired

Good answer Brandibell would add that LV ejection fraction is normal at 55% at 20% or less heart transplant would be normally required like you mine is 35% after cardiac arrest with moderate 2 severe heart failure Spironolactone medication does its job to clear excess fluid from lungs take care

Hi santino so is LVSD related to heart failure !!

No one said anything when I left hospital it just says it on my discharge papers, I’m sure the consultant will explain it to me when I go for follow up appointment !
