Had a CT scan yesterday to try and find more out about the extent of heart trouble. I hadn’t slept well so wasn’t on form mentally and don’t understand what they did. I get the injection of the dye part etc....
But after going in the machine once they then sprayed something under my tongue and injected me with morphine before putting me back in. Does anyone have any idea what the purpose was for either of them?

The spray under your tongue is a GTN spray to relax your arteries and the injection, I’m guessing, may have been a beta blocker to slow your heart rate down. This allows a better image to be obtained.
I had the same. It’s quite normal and nothing to worry about. If you feel uneasy or think you have any side effects speak with your GP.
