Hi everyone,
We’re looking to update our web pages on financial support and we'd love to get some insight from the community.
Take a look at our current page here bhf.org.uk/informationsuppo...
Is there anything you would like more information on/are there any major concerns or questions you have that this page doesn't cover?
Interested to hear your feedback, let us know below.
Thanks all!

I wasn't aware there was any benefit entitlement.
I wouldn't get it anyway, because I'm not living in the UK at the moment (even though I'm a British citizen).

I suggest some more support in particular about how to apply for early ill health retirement and applying for a PIP.
I have done both however applying for my PIP was very stressful and I had no support.
There is an art to how you fill the 40 page application form in and how to approach the assessment.
Many heart patients are turned down because our symptoms are invisible. We live with a hidden disability.
The BHF should perhaps consider campaigning on heart patients behalf to ensure fair and equal access to benefits to help them financially.

It would be good to see advice about travel insurance, life cover and critical illness after bypass op. Perhaps info about who you have to inform after HA or CABG e.g. DVLA, car insurance and mortgage lender.
