Hi Sam,

Are you on a diuretic? With the weather being so warm that doesn’t help our lower extremities! Have you tried sitting with your legs elevated? Not just every now and then but every time you sit. If this is something new try giving your GP a ring, see what they think.

I have a water tablet daily 40 mg furosemide since my AVR but in the warm weather I am glad to raise my feet!

Thanks, yes I am on 40mg frusemide. Maybe I don't sit with my legs elevated enough! I have started to wonder whether to lay on the bed, each day, for an hour or so. However, never having been one to do this. I find it rather hard to da

A little more in left leg. As far as exercise goes, I try to be doing something most of the time. So, to be honest I am not sure. It is often more noticeable in the afternoon so

Measure your ankles. If one is markedly more swollen than the other pop into casualty and see what they think.
