One medication that can cause issues with oedema are calcium channel inhibitors. You need to discuss this with your GP to rule out any other issues.

When my husband left hospital we were told that any swelling of the feet and lower limbs was to be reported ASAP. Go back to GP or ring your cardiologist for advice.

Hi Foxhound .... I was told to look out for swollen ankles and/or weight gain which could indicate water retention. This may not be the case with yourself but it should definitely be checked out

Do press to see your GP again and of they don't want to make a decision on this ask if they can email your hospital team

Or perhaps call your ICD team to ask advice

Good luck and hope you get some answers x

Hi

If your having fluid build in ankles lower leg you should see gp or call cardiologist for advice. If your having pain also I would call 999. Just better to be safe than sorry.

Ur gp can refer u back to ur cardiologist but swollen feet can be a sign of a valve issue.

Can you call the consultants secretary. Mine is my new best friend, well worth checking in and asking if you can even get a phone consult rather than waiting. Like others have said I would be pushing for further help if your GP cant/won't assist
