Hi everyone. Hope you are all doing OK!
Just dropping by to see if anyone fancies doing me a (fun!) favour. As many of you know, I'm in the process of a PhD about literary representations of chronic heart disease. While most of the PhD consists of reading (and reading) and writing (and writing) a very significant part of it, for me, is trying to involve people other than just myself with lived experience of heart disease. One way I'm doing that is through a project blog - heartytalescouk.wordpress.com/
Today I've shared a post looking for people to write a haiku (that's nothing fancy - just a poem with 17 syllables, full details in blog post) that describes something about their feelings towards their medication. Love, hate, indifference, whatever you feel about it, I want to hear it. The haiku element is just a bit of fun really, so comments in other formats would also be much appreciated. You can find the post here - heartytalescouk.wordpress.c...
If anybody reading this was up for commenting, on this post or any others, I would appreciate it so much. I would love to get a conversation going on the blog and am finding the more people participate, the more people participate...if that makes sense!
There will be lots more haiku topics to come in the following weeks (devices, exercise, diet, mental health...?) so do keep checking back, or follow the blog to be alerted when there's a new post. And please let me know if there's a topic you'd like to see addressed via haiku in the future.
Best wishes to everyone on here. I haven't posted for a while but do try to keep up with how everyone is doing. Everything is going fine with me...apart from the obvious. Ha! Thinking of going for my first walk in three months later today, so that's quite exciting
