I take mine in the evening, because I take bisoprol in the morning. I. Also was told different times to take them, but listened to the consultant. Built up to 5mg ramipril and no major issues, But now being changed to Entresto which will be twice a day. If you have no problems with ramipril stick with it at night time, if it did drop your blood pressure you will be asleep, thus less symptoms. Regards Stephen

I take ramipiril 2.5 mg in the evening about 9pm. The thinking being I take isosorbide mononitrate in the morning, so it's beginning to wear off in the evening and the ramipril gives me cover during the night.

My husband is also on 10 mg of ramipril. He did experience some problems with his BP dropping and feeling a bit unwell. As a result the GP decided to split it to 2.5 in the morning and 7.5 at night. He's felt fine ever since.

Hope you find a regime that works for you.

Like you, I’m on 2x5mg ramipril I was told one in the morning pre-breakfast and one in the early evening pre-dinner = 10mg daily.

I was advised that a ramipril dose is gone after about 12 hours, hence the two doses per day.

I get a mildly gritty sensation in my throat and a dry ‘sexy’ edge to my voice as the only occasional side effect.

Stay safe and well...

One thing to look out for with Rampiril is a dry chesty cough, something you dont want with a split sternum. I changed from Ramiril to Candesartan. Rampiril is the better of the two unless you get the cough.

I was advised by my Drs and at cardio rehab to take all my tabs in the morning.

I was on 10mg at night and 7.5 Bisoprolol in the morning, have split to 5mg Ramipril mid morning and 5mg at night, think I feel a little less dizzy with it all spread out.

Not what you're looking for?
