I had a Heart Attack 3 years ago. I was supposed to have Critical Illness Cover and when I went to claim, I found out that I was Mis-sold a policy with Aviva and wasn't covered.
I would like to know what covers are available to me and who is best to speak to.

I can't help with where to get cover. However, has anyone investigated the mis-selling of the policy? If it can be proven that you were mis-sold this you would be entitled to compensation of some sort.
I wasn't sure if you contact the ombudsman in the the first instance as my understanding is you only use them if you're unhappy with the outcome from the insurer.
I believe the omsbudman charges an insurer approx £500 just for a case being referred to them, so most insurers try to resolve any issues themselves.
Hi I was put in touch with " life cover for all" ins by BHF. I spoke to a lovely woman called Amanda. I can't get a quote until I'm 6 months post HA but you should be fine. Worth a try. I filled in their form on their website and she called me couple of days later.
