I was hospitalized in march as I had a panic attack out of nowhere. They did my all test including Trop which all came normal but my cholestrol was little high and they discharged me with medications. After 2 weeks all of sudden started having problems like shortness of breath and palpitations for which I visited my GP who asked to do some test including 2d echo. My results were MILD CONCENTRIC LVH with No SAM/ASH/HOCM. I am Scared alot. Doc has prescribed me SSRI Serta 25 which I am taking but still no changes. I am scared because of Mild Concentric LVH and I am just 25 years old.
Please help me😔

Hello - hopefully there is someone in this community who has the same condition as you have and can share their experience. Having just looked it up in Google it appears that your condition is mild and can be managed through healthy lifestyle changes and medication. The good thing is that its been spotted and diagnosed early. Shortness of breath and palpitations could also be made worse by anxiety. I myself have had anxiety symptoms (shortness of breath etc) which I was attributing to my heart condition. But after endless checks and tests it was found to be primarily driven by an emotional reaction to my condition- which like yours came all of a sudden (I had a heart attack with no prior warning). This is normal - if very disconcerting. If you feel you need reassurance from your doctors don't hesitate asking them about your condition and to check you up. I have found breathing techniques to manage anxiety invaluable. You could consider speaking to your GP and ask to be referred to a stress counsellor. Good luck.
I have dilated cardiomyopathy inherited from my fathers side. I’m not in heart failure but I have mild symptoms and my condition will deteriorate.
My advice is to focus on being you, eat well and keep moving and doing things you enjoy. I was diagnosed at 14 and have lived a normal(ish) life. I rest when I need to but on other days I run, cycle, have done tough mudder events etc. I do moderate exercise, walk, swim. I’m also a full time carer for my disabled daughter (single parent) who has complex needs so it’s pretty full on at home. My dad had a heart transplant after ten years of heart transplant. His advice is to live normally and be healthy, when you have symptoms or get tired slow down xx
I should also say I suffered anxiety attacks about six years ago. I had cbt therapy through my gp which helped. If it doesn’t settle maybe ask them (or ask now as there’s usually a waiting list) x
