PVC during eating
I used to get PVC’s. They probably started when my heart got unhappy with a birth defect, and came regularly after heart surgery last year.
But they also seem to come related to digestive ‘state’. I read that there is a major nerve, the vagus nerve, which links the brain with major organs, and effectively thereby also links the gut & the heart.
Events in brain, gut or heart can trigger feelings in another of the 3. Eg we all know how excited or nervous brain emotions cause stomach butterflies &/or increased heart rate.
Apparently digestive issues like feeling over-full, having diarrhoea or constipation, bloating, high acid, can trigger PVC’s. Also caffeine incl. chocolate Stress too, impacts indirectly via stomach & directly on heart rate etc.
I notice if I eat too quickly or too much (eg Christmas!) or drink Coca Cola, my PVCs increase. But they don’t go on for a week anymore.
Have you ever had a Holter, a multi day ECG? Or an echocardiogram? Have they ruled out other possible causes for your flutters?
I had Ecg before my symptoms ... because I had bad flue last year .. but all this started during christmas and then been on and off ... 14 days with ectopics and then two months quite .. without and then some how they coming back ... how is this possible ? I had my echo when I been 16yo .. now I am 26 .. I go tomorrow for ECG and blood test ... other thing is ... I got really muscle pain im chest ... it happends when I did bad move during bench press at gym ... maybe I moved wirh my ribs as well I go to see chyropractis on friday too .. to fix my back ... because I can feel them only when I move my chest mostly ... or my neck .. never when I lie down ...
