Every breath you take
Every move you make
Every bond you break
Every step you take

A crazy mix but how do you choose. You can find a safe place in music.

One for calm, one to wake you up, and one in the middle....
Amazing rendition.Loved it.
Just discovered Eivor, a Faroe Islander with the most amazing voice. She did the soundtrack to the Last Kingdom on Netflix. Not everyone's cup of tea but elemental
I don’t know very many of the performers on this but this Lounge All Stars singing Times Like These is genius.
I love these music discussions - I don't listen to music radio these days so seeing what others are listening to has brought so many 'new' artists onto my listening playlists!
Dare I own up that I've had an ABBA gold day? 🤔
As long as you're not shocked when I say I wasn't keen on ABBA until Mamma Mia
Not shocked but definitely surprised 😲 not the bestest musical talent in the film! I was given a dvd of the follow up film for Christmas, though no idea why unless Kevin is a secret ABBA fan. He did once buy me a Simply Red CD as he likes them! 😂
LOL, my husband has done similar 'gifts' to me. To be fair, I do it to him back - I just ordered a spotlight torch 'for him' that really is for me.
Ooooh, International Orange colour, stand on end to light an entire room or folds to rest on a hinged 3-level stand, and best of all - comes with the rechargeable battery AND mains charging adaptor!
Re ABBA and the less than star quality singing in Mamma Mia (yes, I laughed when Pierce Brosnan sang. I laughed alot), I think that's what woke me up to how fun ABBA actually is.
He also bought me tickets to a Simply Red concert later this year....so far it's not cancelled but I live in hope.....I'll get lynched for this, but I'm not a fan!
Scarlett Ribbons by the Cats. I think this version was a little better than the original.
Thank-you for introducing me to this brilliant version. What a voice! Wonderful.
That did surprise me. Then again, my personal choice for best ever is Queen 'The Show Must Go On'.
To each her/hisown
Eva Cassidy so poignant as she died far too young.
Yes, she found fame far too late and died well before her time beautiful voice also love her singing songbird and over the rainbow
Giant - Calvin Harris & Rag ‘n’ Bone Man
I Will - The Beatles
Ven Conmigo Guajira - Ibrahim Ferrer
And 4th Concerto “Winter” from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.
You have great taste in music! I especially like Four Seasons (Autumn for my preference but all four are superb) but thank-you for introducing me to Calvin Harris, wow!
When I need to relax, it’s always Chopin nocturnes (esp op9 no1). Any performer will do, but the Rubenstein is the best. Worth trying, even if you don’t normally do classical music.
We’ve also just discovered Scala Radio (on DAB and Interweb) which has a much broader play list than some classical radio stations, including film and game music, and more general interest discussion- give it a go.
Excerpts from one of my favourite soundtracks. Also one of my favourite films of all time.
Not so much songs as artists
Leonard Cohen (old 'Songs to slash your wrists by'. Never listen to him if your feeling depressed)
Status Quo
Meat Loaf
David Munyon ( who? I hear you ask)
Bruce Springsteen
and loads of other 60's and 70's singers/groups.
nothing like some good old rock music to get the ironing done.
It's confusing as my Big Wednesday one works!
We all miss them...
