Yes rubyduck60. I use a cpap when sleeping and have an aicd implant as well. Do you have a question I may be able to help with?

Hello, thank you for your reply, I was wondering if the magnets in the face mask caused any problems, since I've had my pacemaker fitted i get a weird dizzy feeling after about 20 minutes of being on the cpap machine , I've used it for months before my pacemaker with no problems so just wondering if the magnets could cause any issues

My capap face mask does not have magnets. However, magnets are a no no to be situated near the implant area. I suggest you go to your cpap supplier and obtain a different mask.

Hi, I'm in my hospital bed after having a pacemaker implanted a few hours ago. Tonight I'll use my CPAP with magnetic clasps and will find out! My cardiologist seemed to thing it would be OK, but he had no real experience of it. My CPAP manufacturer says to keep the clasps 50mm away from the pacemaker. Of course, I'm not a physician and this is just my experience thus far. You should definitely speak with your clinician, especially as you are experiencing symptoms. Good luck.

I had my pacemaker inserted first. I read up about CPAPs and realised some had magnets and when I talked to the rep. I mentioned this, so my CPAP doesn't have magnets. If I was you I would talk to the person who supplied you with the CPAP/mask and I would insist on getting one without magnets, because you need to put your safety first.
