Recent comments from the health nurses have said people with heart disease are in a vulnerable group. I had an aortic valve replacement 2 years ago but have not received any contact from the NHS. Am I in a vulnerable group?

Hi there, I had an avr in Feb and asked my cardiologist the same question on my last visit. He said I was in a much better position now than before. Gp had a slightly different opinion.
Short story is that I'm going with the over 75 group (I'm 42) and not the super high risk had a letter from NHS group. So stay at home, get your food and supplies delivered or someone to bring them to you and only go out for exercise. Don't forget to stay safe!

People with dementia or lung problems are also among those most at risk of dying after contracting COVID-19, according to new NHS figures.
Some 14% had chronic kidney disease as an underlying health issue.
It is the first time NHS England has published a breakdown of deaths by pre-existing conditions.
There seemed little difference between young and older people when it came to who caught COVID-19, even though it has been widely reported that the elderly are more vulnerable to the virus.
