Somehow I have got sciatica. So my left undercarriage does not like working. Does anyone have any gems how to deal with the pain and walking difficulty? With everything shut it is not a good time to suffer.

Either lie on floor or sit upright and bend the offending leg at the knee and use both hands to bring it across your body as far as you can, hold for 30 secs.Do this 3 times a couple of times a day for as long as it takes to ease.If you`re doing it correctly you should find it stretchin the site of the problem.I used to get it a lot,it`s extremely painful and inconvenient isn`t it.Best of luck, hope it works,if not let me know and I`ll look out the instructions the physio gave me.
Poor you, Driby, I can so empathise and sympathise having experienced a few incidents of sciatica in the past. The most helpful thing I have found is to don a support girdle for a few days to reduce the pain and shorten the duration of the attack. I also know two people who were helped by a few visits to a Bowen therapist. Best wishes for a fast recovery.
Your sciatic nerve runs right down your leg and it is accessible to pressure under your ankle bone (on the outside of your ankle) If you press fairly firmly round the bone underneath you find a tender spot and ( if you can reach of course) can massage it with one finger. It is sore but often gives relief.
Do remember that the much talked about Aerosol Generating Procedures much discussed in dental circles applies to breathing!
We have all been told to social distance to take care about anyone including an Osteopath being close to you. If someone if close enough to be delivering hands on care to you they can also transmit the virus.
Ask what measures they are taking to protect themselves and you.

Hi Speakeazi. Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately all the Osteos have closed in Dorset. Hence my plead for self help. Regards Mike
Hi TRST. I felt the same when my right leg suffered the same but became paralysed. The Osteo worked his magic and it has been ok for 40 years. Now the left leg is having a go. But I value your advice and information. Thanks Mike
Dribby - I suffered with sciatica for 20 years. The cure? I did a bungee jump ... strange but true. It'll be a bit difficult to organise a bungee jump these days, but if the other suggestions don't give relief, take a jump when lockdown ends!
try to find a "good" chiropracter. Apart from that buy online from Amazon a copy of "treat your own back" by Mackenzie (new zealander). It is brilliant and will cost you little but may be second hand as I have not seen a new one for ages.
