Hello

Anyone know about this with regards to Heart Failure it would appear that it is the name for being short of Breath whilst bending forward. I have discussed this with my Heart Nurse but never had a name for it until now. One thing that Heart Failure prevents me from doing is to tie my shoe lace. I can't bend forward or down without becoming very short of Breath anyone else experiencing this ??

I have thankfully no physical problems with my heart other than electrical misfires.

Now that you mention it, I too get breathless when bending over especially when I weed the garden. I have to use a stool to do so.

My breathlessness is thought to be related high red blood cell count.

I've never heard the name used but when I'm in an acute flare with my recurrent pericarditis, I experience the condition and I hate it - when it happens to me it's a sign the effusion is increasing and I need to see the nice people at A&E. I'm at a point now I bend two or three times a day just to see if it makes me breathless.

I've never heard the term till now, but I certainly suffer from this! I haven't been diagnosed with heart failure yet, but have many related symptoms. I do have hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and it can lead to CHF as well as exhibit many of the same symptoms. Thanks for sharing!
